Diversity includes all the ways in which people differ, encompassing the different characteristics that make one individual or group different from another.

Equity is the fair treatment, access, opportunity and advancement for all people, while at the same time striving to identify and eliminate barriers that have prevented the full participation of some groups.

Inclusion is the act of creating environments in which any individual or group can be and feel welcomed, respected, supported and valued to fully participate.

Envision has a role to play in building a society that is more just and inclusive.

We can see the problems in front of us, and by addressing them, we are making a long-term commitment to our organization, our team members and the well-being of our patients and communities.

As a national medical group, our primary job is caring for patients. Delivering the best care means our organization must reflect the diversity of our patients across the nation.

Not all people receive the same care. Healthcare disparities among racial and ethnic minority groups have been researched and documented for decades, but progress to close these disparities has been slow.

It improves performance, drives growth and enhances employee engagement.

On the other hand, workplace discrimination against employees costs businesses an estimated $64 billion annually. That equates to the annual estimated cost of losing and replacing more than 2 million American workers each year who leave their jobs due to unfairness and discrimination.
