Kristin Darby Named Chief Information Officer of Envision Healthcare

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Envision Healthcare is pleased to announce that Kristin Darby has joined its senior executive team as Chief Information Officer. Darby is a globally recognized executive with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare IT, finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategy and leadership.

Prior to this role, Darby served as the Enterprise Chief Information Officer of Cancer Treatment Centers of America. She was the principal strategist and architect for the organization’s information services, informatics, digital and innovation functions where she led initiatives to transform the organization’s capabilities around precision medicine, patient engagement and value-based care.

In addition, Darby served as a divisional Chief Information Officer for Vanguard Health System and Tenet Healthcare. Her role included leading the Information Technology and Informatics strategy and operations for a diverse portfolio of hospitals, outpatient clinics, physician offices and accountable care organizations. Darby also served as Chief Information Officer for Risk Management Foundation of the Harvard Medical Institutions (CRICO) and held various national roles at Fresenius Medical Care in the accounting and technology areas with responsibility for 2,000+ ambulatory clinics and approximately 300 acute locations.

Darby has a Bachelor of Science in accounting and management information systems from the University of South Florida and a Master of Business Administration from the Henley Business School in Oxfordshire, England. She is a certified public accountant, certified fraud examiner and certified healthcare CIO.
