The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has communities on high alert, and Envision Healthcare’s more than 27,000 clinicians are leading efforts to care for patients and support our organization’s hospital partners through the implementation of clinical best practices.

The health and well-being of patients and clinicians are our priority. As information on the coronavirus evolves, we will continue to evaluate our response and work with healthcare system partners to provide patients in communities across the nation the highest quality of care.

Evaluation and Treatment

We are following guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization

Response

If patients are suspected of having COVID-19, we will isolate them immediately to minimize the risk to others, notify the local and state health departments and move forward with appropriate testing

Education

By trade, our more than 11,000 emergency clinicians who support the nation’s healthcare safety net have undergone extensive training on how to treat viral infections

We are able to mobilize rapidly and allocate resources to support changes in patient volumes and communities’ needs

We are guiding and supporting the implementation of hospital protocols as well as coordinating with local emergency medical services and government agencies

The Envision Coronavirus Task Force, comprised of senior clinical executives and operational leaders, continues to assess the evolving situation and advise response efforts

We are staying updated on the most current and accurate information on the coronavirus and disseminating information through regular communications and lectures provided by senior clinical leaders
